The goal of this activity is for students to guess what weather their classmate chose.
How to use:
Preparation:
1. Give students the 3 worksheets - window worksheet, curtain worksheet, and weather pictures worksheet.
2. On the window worksheet, students should cut the dotted lines at the top and bottom, also cut out the window square. On curtain worksheet, cut along the edge so there is 1 long strip with the up and down arrow at each end.
3. Students should choose one of the 6 weather pictures, cut it out and glue on the empty square on curtain worksheet.
4. Students put the curtain worksheet through the slits on the window worksheet. Pull the strip so the curtain is visible in the window square.
Play:
1. Students make a pair and play janken. Winner shows their window worksheet with the curtain showing. Ask the question 'How's the weather?' The partner has 1 chance to guess the weather. For example, 'It's (sunny).'
2. The winner should then pull the strip down to reveal their weather. 'It's (snowy).'
3. Then change roles.
